Washington County Sheriff’s office will host the National Sheriff’s Association, Jail Evacuation: Planning and Implementation, AWR-183 class on September 14, 2010 (0800-1600) at the Washington County Sheriff’s office, 1155 Clydesdale Drive, Fayetteville, Arkansas (East Annex). Washington County Sheriff’s office will hosting Law Enforcement Response to Sexual Assault class on September 15, 2010 (0830-1730) and another class on September 20, 2010 at the Washington County Sheriff’s office, 1155 Clydesdale Drive, Fayetteville, Arkansas (East Annex). The Washington County Sheriff's Office will be hosting Crisis Intervention Training (Mental Health and Law Enforcement). This class is Arkansas Standards and Training approved for 6.5 hours. The class will be held at the Washington County Sheriff's office, 1155 Clydesdale Drive, Fayetteville, Arkansas 72701. Date: September 17, 2010, Time: 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This event is FREE. Jacksonville Communications Center in Jacksonville, AR , near Little Rock, is conducting the 9-1-1 Manager National Certification Program series, beginning with Course 1  9-1-1 PSAP Management November 15th- November 17th 2010.

  

The purpose of this 9-1-1 Manager National Certification Program is to prepare an individual who desires to become certified with the knowledge, skills and experience necessary for the management of a 9-1-1 center while earning the title of a certified professional. 

Upon completion of each course, the participant will receive a Certificate of Attendance.  Upon completion of the entire series of the 9-1-1 Manager Certification Program, the participant will be awarded the prestigious “Certified 9-1-1 Manager” certificate . Courses can be taken in any order at anytime; there is no time expiration for completing the course series. Courses will be held again throughout the year at various locations.

Jacksonville Communications Center in Jacksonville, AR , near Little Rock, is conducting the Crisis Call Handling Course October 25th- October 26th 2010.

 

The purpose of this course is to provide an advanced-level in-service training for the 9-1-1 Officer for a variety of emergency (life-threatening) calls.

 

At the end of this course, the student will be able to demonstrate the ability to handle a variety of life-threatening calls in progress including:

·         Abduction

·         Domestic Violence

·         Assault

·         Suicide

·         HAZMAT
